LGBTQ+ Inclusivity Training is an interactive experience where people can learn about the LGBTQ+ Community and how to be a better ally. We use a conversational and storytelling approach to teaching and learning. The training can be with any size audience. There’s no group too big or too small.
These are one of our only sources of income and each portion has a fee.
Training Breakdown:
LGBTQ+ Inclusivity 101 (approximately 90 minutes)
Terminology. We talk about the LGBTQ+ acronym and what it means, along with other helpful language.
Pronouns. Normalizing, making mistakes, and practice.
Allyship. How to be a better ally both inside and outside the LGBTQ+ Community.
Intersectionality (approximately 90 minutes)
The interconnected nature of social categorizations such as race, class, and gender as they apply the LGBTQ+
Gender (60 minutes)
What is it? How and why do we see gender the way we do? We’ll discuss gender roles, social norms, and how they were developed.
Inclusivity (60 minutes)
Inclusive practices and what those look like:
-in the classroom.
-in the workplace.
-in healthcare.
