END OF LIFE & MEMORIAL GIVING
Thank you so much for considering including the Milwaukee LGBT Community Center as you plan the legacy you will leave behind and how you will honor your loved ones who have passed.
Here are some ways that you can leave a legacy of support for the Milwaukee LGBTQIA+ Community:
1. Consider bequeathing us funds from your estate or revenue from the sale of property in your will.
2. If honoring or memorializing a loved one, become a dues-paying member and indicate that the membership is in honor or memory of your loved one.
3. Establish a dedicated fund in your or your loved one's name by making a seedling donation, and we will support you in promoting the fund to friends and family members to honor your or your loved one's memory.
4. Have us create an "In Lieu of Flowers" donation page honoring you or your loved one that we will provide to the funeral home and you or your surviving loved ones to circulate to foster donations in your or our loved one's honor.
5. Consider setting up a Trust that will issue us annual payments until it is depleted to support a facility or program aspect. Examples: The Library, Food and or Clothing Pantry, Resource Center, Updated Tech and Tools, Older Adults, Youth, Disability, Recovery, Bi/Pan, Trans and Nongender Conforming, or Clinical and or Victim Services.
6. Let us know how you or your loved one want to be honored or memorialized. Pending on the amount of the contribution, some options for memorializing you or your loved one include but are not limited to:
A plaque in the Center
Naming an Award for Volunteers and Members after you or your loved one
Naming a room or space after you or your loved one
Listing your or your loved one's name on the website as a Memorial Donor
Including an "In Memory Of" you or your loved one as an aspect of a Big Night Out Event
Hold a memorial service at the Center
End of Life & Memorial Giving contributions help us cover the cost associated with providing services, programs, and facility aspects not covered by grants or other funding sources.
